Two Months Into the Corona Epidemic , How Does It Look?

Well , it’s June 2020, and the shock and strangeness of things has gone away and we have all become accustomed to this new and different way of living. We are now thinking about how to start relaxing our lockdowns and how to live with the virus whilst returning , in very limited extents, back to our previous normal. We have accepted that the virus is here to stay for a while and won’t be going away anytime soon. 

Many seem to be looking at conspiracy theories and there seems to be sufficient evidence for them to make you wonder, although the state will stay in denial as normal. But it seems that plenty are thinking that way and there isn’t much trust of those in power. This is how it looks for me at least. 

Regarding why the virus is here , one can either point to conspiracy ( eg population control issues ) or that our Creator (God) is intervening and sending us a message that he isn’t happy with humanity at the moment. If the latter is true then it means that he wants us to change our ways. So the question is in which way should we change. I assume that if we don’t change then he may send bigger messages and more interventions our way until we do start realising that it is God try to send messages to us. Especially if whatever we do we hit another obstacle. 

Regarding how he (God) wants us to change them I think it is to do with each of us individually sitting and reflecting on our situation. On our life. How have we been living it ? Did we live it right ? What was wrong and how can we correct ourselves ? If we go on that path I think God would be pleased with us and the virus maybe removed at some point. 

Obviously , radical atheists will not much like my God view, but I think there are plenty of people with good sense who can see that there maybe some resonance to it. We are living very material lives these days but the spiritual realm is not completely absent I believe. Especially because death is now more prevalent and thus close to our eyes and ears. It reminds us about whether we have prepared for it ourselves or whether we still think it’s something so far away. Hopefully this will spur a global kind of awakening in humanity. Making us more humane and less materialistic. Less rushing towards money making and more reflective and observative. Slowing the rat race down hopefully and speeding the spiritual journeying. Moral issues like the killing of George Floyd will become more important in our minds, as with any other injustices humanity makes witness to. 

Where things will get to next ? I think it depends on how we respond to God’s current intervention? If we are oblivious to it and just react in a purely materialistic manner to it then I would say expect more intervention. If on the other hand we start opening our minds up to this possibility then there is a good chance things will improve. So I think it’s up to us. And I think societies that are spiritual and humble and who choose to learn from this lesson , they will start to progress upwards whilst those stuck in a materialist matrix will not take the lesson and will head towards more problems unfortunately. And ofcourse I may be wrong. This is just my personal opinion on the situation.
